Cooper takes on Kokoda Challenge with support from Browns Plains Bottles & Cans

At Loganlea State High School, Year 11 student Cooper Gray is known for his energy, optimism, and drive to make a difference. As a dedicated member of the school’s recycling program, he’s already leading by example - and now, he’s taking on an even bigger challenge.

On June 7, Cooper will join teachers and classmates in the 18km Kokoda Challenge as part of ‘The Rollers and Strollers’ team. Known as one of Australia’s toughest endurance events, it’s designed to push participants to their physical and mental limits.

For Cooper, who lives with Cerebral Palsy and uses a wheelchair, it’s also a chance make history. If successful, he’ll be the first wheelchair user to complete a section of the Kokoda Challenge.

His message is clear: his disability is no barrier to achievement.

Community support rolling in

When Andrew Lambert from Browns Plains Bottles & Cans - a long-time partner of Loganlea State High School - heard about Cooper’s challenge, he stepped up with a generous $800 donation to sponsor the team and support their cause.

Cooper’s determination is a powerful reminder that courage, teamwork and resilience can break new ground - and inspire those around us to aim higher.

We’ll be cheering for Cooper and the Rollers and Strollers every step of the way.
