Recycling your empty containers isn’t just about the 10 cent refund – it’s a simple way to make a meaningful difference for our environment and your community.

With over 9,000 charities, schools and fundraising groups registered in the Containers for Change network, you can turn your empties into support for a cause you care about.

Ready to make a difference? Here are three simple ways to get started.

Three easy ways to donate your containers

1. Donate using your cause’s member number

Know a local charity, school, or group you’d like to support?

Simply enter their Containers for Change member number at the return point. This way, your 10 cent refunds go directly to the cause you care about.

Visit the Donate page to find a local cause to support and their member number.

2. Set up your member number to divert payments

Prefer to track your impact while supporting your cause? In the Containers for Change member portal, you can set up your account to automatically divert your refunds to your chosen registered charity or group.

That way, you’ll still receive updates from us (if you’ve opted in!), and track your impact, but the refunds will go to your chosen cause – a win-win!

Not a member? No worries. It’s free and only takes a minute. Sign up now

3. Drop off your containers

If you’d prefer not to manage the returns yourself, you may be able to physically drop off your containers to the organisation.

Many schools, sports clubs, and community groups collect containers as part of their ongoing fundraising efforts, and they’ll be more than happy to take them off your hands.

Tip: You can contact the group directly to arrange a convenient drop-off or final a local collection drive.

Every container counts. By donating your empties, you’re not just reducing waste – you’re helping fund vital community initiatives and supporting those making a difference.
